Frequently asked questions
- Do I need a hub to use the Smart Life IR remote control?
- It depends on the model. The Tuya WiFi IR Remote Control connects directly to your WiFi network, without a hub. The Tuya Smart Life IR Remote Control Gateway Zigbee requires a compatible Zigbee hub to work.
- Does it work with any air conditioner?
- Most air conditioners with an IR remote are compatible, since the device learns the signals. However, verify that your equipment uses infrared and not radio frequency.
- Can I control LED lights with the same IR remote control?
- Not directly. For LED strips you need a specific controller like the Tuya WiFi RGBIC LED Controller, which is managed by app but does not emit IR.
- Does the RC1822 work for other Medion televisions?
- It is designed for the Medion Life P13223 MD31832 model. For other models, check the compatibility of the RC1822 code before buying.
- Can it be used with Alexa without technical knowledge?
- Yes, setup is simple: install the Smart Life app, pair the device, and enable the Alexa skill. In a few minutes you'll have voice control.
